Science Department Overview
The NCHS Science Department is committed to fostering a dynamic, inquiry-based learning environment aligned with Naperville Community School District 203's Profile of a Learner competencies. Our courses prioritize adaptability by encouraging students to think critically and respond to complex, real-world challenges. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students enhance their communication skills as they collaborate, share ideas, and present scientific findings. Our emphasis on developing a learner’s mindset helps students embrace curiosity and a passion for discovery, empowering them to continuously learn and adapt. Furthermore, by exploring scientific topics that impact global communities, students develop into empathetic, responsible global citizens, equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for their post-secondary paths.
